I’ve always loved popcorn. Not the plain stuff from the movie theater — I’m talking about bold, creative flavors you can’t find anywhere else. What started as a fun hobby in my kitchen has grown into a way to help groups raise money while making their supporters smile.
The Turning Point
When my wife was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer, our world changed. After years of fighting bravely, she had to stop working. We needed a new way forward — and I decided to turn my love for making popcorn into something that could help keep our family going.
Why We Built Matt’s Marvelous Fundraising
I’ve been on both sides of fundraising — selling items no one really wants and buying them just to be supportive. While growing our popcorn business to help my family, I realized something simple: people actually want great popcorn. If we made it affordable and handled the logistics online, teams and schools could raise more without the usual stress.
